Give a goal to a server-hosted Lead Agent. It turns the work into a durable, bounded job for an outbound Codex Runner beside your repository — while you watch progress, evidence, and spend before approving an exact change.

Talk to the Lead Agent about the outcome. It coordinates from durable project state, delegates one bounded coding job at a time, and keeps the work legible without needing your source checkout.
The Runner owns the code boundary and works in isolated Git worktrees. The hosted Lead Agent receives bounded project state and evidence through RuneNorth APIs; it does not receive a source checkout.
Jobs, events, budgets, approvals, and evidence are persisted in the control plane. A human approves the exact base and head commits before a separate, bounded merge can run.
Open RuneNorth, connect your deployment, and choose a project folder. The desktop protects the deployment credential with your operating system's secure storage.
The Runner binds to that repository and uses your existing Codex login. It works outbound from an isolated checkout; the hosted Lead Agent does not receive a source checkout.
Watch ordered events, evidence, and spend as work progresses. Review the result and approve only the exact commits you want merged.
Early dogfood. You'll need a RuneNorth deployment and owner token, a local Codex login for the Runner, and an OpenAI API key for the hosted Lead Agent.
